these days it’s all about a quick homemade meals and restful nights.

autumn begins

without comments

the rest of the week got ahead of me. thursday saw some minor flooding on the way home due to the rain, so a taxi drive home was in order so that steaming bowls of soup could be had asap. and off to bed with some light reading. friday lunch was fun and games with two ladies; sandwiches all round and milk shakes like you’ve never heard of; caramel or pistachio, both with a shot of double espresso. as i say; fun and games. the rest of the day was a write-off when guests arrived for a quick hello and then stayed for two rounds of bubbles.

and then there was autumn and juno the night before, late under the covers with little pieces of wrapped chocolate.

last night we welcomed autumn with home cooking and a little girl for company. she likes to play the tabla which we keep in the corner - for decoration. really, she is the one who plays it these days so we just let her beat it out over dinner conversation.

and today we have a party for another little girl, there is pass-the-parcel, a piñata and a make-shift photobooth courtesy of mr. mac. i am looking forward to a piece of cake.
