my weekend started on friday after morning errands and chores. a quiet breakfast at the fairtrade coffee company of a spinach-egg-smoke salmon and pesto stack and very good coffee. yum!

next, my appointment with my dress designer. his studio smells like a garden in bloom and it feels magical to just sit there and chat. i came away feeling pretty happy and content with the his work. i feel so lucky.

saturaday morning baking {kithul treacle and banana bread} and framing a polaroid and print by the talented jen. this was part of the photo trade for morning ritual. so great.

saturday afternoon baking for a birthday dinner. a portuguese upside down pineapple cake from the charming cookbook; piri piri and starfish.

dinner coincided with earth hour; we had the lights off for most of the night.

sunday morning sleep is the best kind. there was more lunching and lounging.
