up and down
we drove up and down a mountain today and through a valley. the sun shone high while we picnicked on salmon sandwiches. we met the warmest of clergymen; the man who will perform our marriage. he made it right, all these months of planning. he set our minds at ease and made us laugh, full belly laughs.
the thing i learned today is that all of this {and mostly what happens next} takes work. hard, hard work to make it roll along merrily. today, we signed up to do so.

i too love the mountains. any mountains. my husband keeps talking about moving to the Blue ones. i think they remind him of New Zealand!
