last time we went food shopping i came away with a carton of buttermilk which was not put in our trolley by my shopping companion nor i. i am guessing, a fellow shopper may have plopped it while gazing over at the yoghurts which live near by. when i arrived home to find the sneaky item, i wasn’t entirely put off. it is buttermilk after all. it just left me with an opportunity to make something. and i did.

a small stack of pancakes on sunday, a dash to my muesli on monday and wednesday; some of it went into a batch of nutmeg doughnut muffins.

somewhere in my neighbourhood someone missed out on some buttermilk deliciousness.

on the subject of finding, look at all these beautiful wooden objects i rounded up at a recent op-shopping trip. i went looking for some tablecloths to be used as picnic rugs for an upcoming celebration, but in the end walked away with these lovelies.

i think i’ve started a new collection.
