finding film
hello. i’m just peeking in to post some of these snaps i took last weekend when the weather was windy, but super-fine for playing with my old slr camera. oh, how much fun it is to be working with film again. i wonder why i took so long to get back to it. the scans are straight from the negative, so it’ll be fun to go back to the photo shop to have a few printed.
now, i must get back to the kitchen. i have 16 people coming for lunch tomorrow. eeep!
a little peek from spring, taken down the street from where i live.
peeling mushrooms for a quiet lunch.
have a lovely weekend friends. i’ll be back on monday with more film and favourites.
friday illustrations
something quick for a friday afternoon: i really like these illustrations in the month’s vogue entertaining by kate mcleod. she also adds a little texture with collage pieces of paper, button and thread. happy friday!

neves estrela
these photographs by neves estrela take me back to my childhood with their subtle saturation, feeling of warmth and wonder and those little highlights of fluro. her prints can be purchased as postcards here; “these postcards are an attempt to reveal the beauty of the overlooked commonness that surrounds us always and everywhere!“

new old chair
here is a new addition to our flat a few weeks ago, a thrifty find for under $4. i know i have sealed its fate by blogging about it, but the plan is to re-upholster it in a bold black and white print. fingers crossed i suppose.
the wood is made from queensland maple, and i really like the arms. like wings.
