half full

with 7 comments

this week has flown by so quickly, that i’m afraid the weekend too will pass with only a tap on my shoulder.

i have started getting ready for new things in my life :: a new season, new adventures, new plans for the year ahead - all of it scary and exciting at the same time.

to get ready for the new season i have started a little spring cure for our home, namely de-cluttering and getting rid of a lot things. it means i am moving things out the study, out of moving boxes, all out from the high-up shelves of the cupboards. the rule is: if i haven’t used it in a year its going out. ruthless for the first time ever. speaking of things i have started a blog addendum; a far more economical place to store the things i like.

to get ready for new adventures i had my suitcase fixed, a pile of travel guides borrowed from friends and the library and a notebook ready for listing travel tips etc. i am looking very much forward to a little solo travel and to see my dear sister in london.

the photograph above is of the photographs and prints project from port2port press. i have had the photographs spread out on the dining table since i opened the package this evening, just thinking of what the images represent and what they mean to me. a tinge of fear, a tinge of excitement and lots of renewal. it feels wonderful really.

  5. I need to be ruthless too, this clutter isn’t helping my life. Let me know how you get on with your spring-clean, if you manage to stick by your one-year rule…

  7. lottie, yah i am following the apartment therapy fall cure… while we start spring over in australia!

junkgirl, indeed. if i get into it and try to finish it off in a short amount of time it gets done. its the long drawn out project that are never finished.

joey, they are. i have to mount them in a frame i bought over the weekend now.
