never thought you’d see those words together did ya? i thought the same too, when staying in bed where it was cozy and warm was far more tempting than jumping the shower to get ready for work this morning. but days have this thing of getting better and today, on monday it did: first, a fine lunch of sushi and a bowl of miso soup down the road from the office, then a browse through a bookstore, followed by a browse through an op shop. the op shop was great; i found a warm winter cardi for half price, a stand for my toast or letters {i can’t decide} and a black polka dot cup.

so, the day got better when i opened my mail and found a thick envelope which travelled to australia all the way from portland, maine. it held the june edition of the card society which came with the card you see above as well as a ‘party’ card with party characters and the perfect clicky pen; all in celebration of the society turn one.

the work which has gone into the cards is pretty special, you can feel it in your hands. and the illustrations; so sweet by christopher david ryan {i love his sleepyheads illustration too}. you have until saturday to join the card society to receive these birthday goodies. i don’t know why i waited so long to join; it is such a wonderful bright thing to receive, any day of the week.
