the paper crane project

it is nice to receive things other than memo’s, invoices and minutes {yes some people still keep minutes and send hard copies through internal mail} in my mail-box at work. today in a buff envelope was a little blue papercrane with instructions to puff the wings, after a week or so of being in transit from boston.
so at home this late afternoon, the crane joined me for a glorious cup of coffee. the first cup of coffee i have enjoyed since buying the gaggia classic from my coffee-nut cousin. we’ve had plenty of coffees, but this one was perfect due to the right sized coffee cup {a lucky find of 4 cups and saucers for $5 during today’s lunch time op shop visit}. oh how we like the new gaggia classic, it makes the kitchen smell magical each morning {actually it’s the freshly ground coffee beans} and it means my dairy intake is higher than ever. 3 litres of milk since good friday. usually such an amount would last a little under a fornight in this household.
but yes, the blue bird was made by liz {aka eshu} who is spreading kindness the old fashioned way. thank you liz, your bird made my day.
yay Deborah! so glad it got there safe and made you smile, thanks SO much for posting about the project!
